E. eduardoi Leach

Distribution: Namibia, Angola; from close to the coast into mountains; at 450 to 550 m altitude.

Description: Tree euphorbia, growing in candelabriform shape, 5 to 15 m high, stem simple, cylindrical or 5-angled, with a rather small crown; branches few, spreading-ascending, not rebranching, stout, obscurely segmented, segments of different length,  elliptic, (4- or) 5-angled, angled somewhat wavy, 8 mm thick; spine-shields 12 mm long when young, becoming united into a horny margin with age, reddish brown becoming grey, spines in pairs, 10 to 15 mm long, stout; cymes consisting of 3 cyathia, peduncled, yellow.

Cultivation: Keep dry during winter, minimum temperature 12 °C; propagation by seeds and cuttings.
